Thanks to your support and feedback, here are some of the new features we’ve added to the Windows 10 PC version of Forza Motorsport 7:

Support for a Broad Range of PC Setups – Forza Motorsport 7 was designed to run smoothly across a wide range of Windows 10 PCs and performance settings. Not only have we lowered our minimum specifications to i5-750, we’ve also reduced our recommended specifications while still having the game run at a rock solid 60 frames per second. Even gamers with a Surface Book 4 Ultrabook or other budget-friendly gaming PC can play the game. Head over to net for the full list of recommended PC specifications.
PC Customization Options – We created Forza Motorsport 7 to be optimized for a wide range of Windows 10 PCs. With options like benchmark mode, 21:9 displays, 8x MSAA and 16x anisotropic peripherals, every player can experience the game the way they want. And with an unlocked framerate, each race is customized to be visually stunning.

Yeah... the Ultimate experience wouldn't be handcuffed to Windows store and eat a third of some folks total monthly bandwidth allotment to download.
Reality is so flexible these days, its hard to tell whos disconnected from it and who isnt. You might even say its a pointless distinction.

So their 'ultimate experience' is actually bothering to optimize it and provide scaling options for lower spec machines?

Well, you know, if we lower the bar enough I guess we'll never be disappointed again.

Still...It's a closed circuit racing game, it should be expected to run well and look decent. Now, why the hell it has to be 100GB in size to do so is anybody's guess. At the very least, they could offer Ultra textures as an optional download; Plenty of other games are doing that now.

Meh, psuado arcade ultimism here. I don't see how they can justify it ever running bad even on very low spec machines. Racing games used to be known for always running good due to how low poly everything but the cars are and such. I can't see them bloating to 100gb without ineptitude being involved, it's not hard to make some LOD settings and compress some textures. No one is going to look at this uncompressed BMP file of some dirt on a road when it's covered in a layer of lens flare, bloom, and motion blur. Even some s***ty low ass resolution smudge would look fine if you just have the effects artist put a noise filter over it while in motion to fake the effect of having real texture.

Hopefully it means another sale of Forza Horizon 3. I missed out on the half off the Ultimate edition.

Excellent. It must finally support directinput controllers right? Maybe even my steam controller will work?
