550w is the minimum requirement, while AMD recommends 750w. The 550w are for the stockclockmode. If you enable turbomode or overclock manualy, then you will need more, than 550w.

But generally, it's never a good idea to use a PSU, which performs at maxcapacity all the time.

Wow. I guess that solves it. I'm sticking with my crap 970 for a while and then I'll probably be stuck with Nvidia forever since AMD really isn't keeping up. Sad. I hate Nvidia.

Liquid one also performs better for it's power usage.
PPW is just bad on Vega.
