I live in little dinky Delaware and have gigabit through Verizon for like $70 a month.

That's a steal. I pay that for my non gigabit services.

27mbit is a bit better, but still bad tbh. i consider anything less than 30Mbit to be pretty slow these days

50 MB/s is the average speed in the US

I think you mean Mb, it's certainly not 50 megaBYTES a second, that's for sure, lol. Also, last time I checked I believe the US average is somewhere around 16 Mb, not 50.

Us its not 50mbs not even close the standard starting is 16mb and 25mb and you might get 4mb if your lucky

Look just divide it by 8 and that's the speed that shows up on browser/steam/etc.
So if you get 100 its worth 12 or so to you on the download.

I think Canada has crappy internet too.Something about North America and telecoms where it just spreads it's cheeks for their big talk and flaccid service.

OP, here's a comparison:

I'm paying $107 CAD (which is not great) for 500Mbps up and down. This goes up to 70Mbps (should be 60~ but I'm not gonna complain). So unless you're paying 71 times less than me, you're getting ripped. The prices up here are pretty bad too compared to Asia where my buddies pay $50 for 1Gbit connections.

I get about 75-100mbs download and 12 mbs upload so a little better than the national average. Alright but hardly ideal.

It goes up and down for most people, I believe. It depends on what you're doing. I ran it once and got 84 and ran it again and 90.
