File is corrupted because it didn't finish. Now I gotta redo it! Who the f*** do you think you are? Imma b****slap everyone at M$.

I dont know if you have pro or not but with pro I can set it to ask me before it downloads any update. I had to use a walkthrough though because they hide that s***.

If you were indeed the boss, this wouldn't have happened.

This NEVER happens to me, BTW, because I'm the boss of my PC.

(You can easily disable Windows Update in the Services window, BTW, and enable it whenever you are not using your PC. At night, for example).

Won't let me disable. Only have active hours crap. This is bulls*** to lock this behind other versions.

You can disable the service itself.

Just press Window key + R, type Services.msc, press enter, search for Windows Update, stop the service, select the startup type to disabled and apply.

Whenever you want to enable it, just set it to manual or automatic, apply and start the service.

Missing the point. It's an utterly stupid design decision to make the PC restart without explicit permission.

That's what you get for not listening to your computer for the days/weeks it was telling you to restart it to apply updates. Only problem here is an ID-10T error.
