I knew next to nothing about what I should get when I had my friend help me build my PC. Of course, I didn't think about Bluetooth, and now I can't hook up the 8bitdo controller. So now I'm looking at some on Amazon but the 1 star reviews always seem consistent with each other which is always a turn off for me. Any suggestions on good ones? I'm on Windows 10 by the way so it needs to work with that. This is the one I was looking at:

Thank you!

I see a lot with good reviews on Amazon, just take your pick and don't overspend. Don't worry too much over one star reviews, those are usually reserved for a product that didn't work, damaged in shipping or people who just can't figure out how to get the thing working so they blame the product instead of themselves.

This is the one I bought a while back: http://a.co/fMElUFy

I did some research at the time and it was widely regarded as one of the most compatible with gaming controllers. I've been using it with my XBONE controller and no dropouts. Occasionally I'll get a little bit of flakiness with the signal, but I think that is just a wireless thing, and it happens only rarely and in games where I'm constantly smashing multiple buttons.

I make sure to read those.
