Windows 95 was the best gaming OS ever made.

I was pretty fond of XP SP2.

95 was actually made for gaming (well, designed with it strongly in mind). So there is something behind saying it's the best gaming OS ever made. 98 and onwards were all about offices and productivity.

XP and 7 were great for a bunch of old games.

If you only care about new games, then 10, I guess...

Best spyware OS must definitely.

Everything is spyware these days. If you are going to game, you don't really have much of a choice.

What a bulls*** excuse. I guess we should all run out and start assaulting random people because antifa is a thing!

not even gonna suggest something like Linux then?

Not if your primary use is gaming - game support/game performance in Linux still leaves a lot to be desired. Granted, it's gotten better, but Linux still only supports a fraction of the total Steam library.

Windows 10 is the only real option tbh. 8 and 8.1 are bleh, 7 isn't getting feature updates anymore, any older windows OS isn't really supported at all and OSX/Linux/Unix/etc have pitiful libraries and hardware support.

Feature updates means nothing for a gaming OS. 7 is still the best choice atm.

Considering features includes things like HDR and DirectX12, they're still important for gaming.
