To be fair,
he'll be proving it utterly ineffective.
That said, why in the f*** would anyone buy or pirate a 3D Sonic game? Spoilers: it's going to be terrible.

To be unfair, if you want to make a stand against Denuvo, don't play the game in any capacity.
Oh but that would require having to make some kind of sacrifice for your oh so vaunted principles instead of talking a big game and making no effort otherwise, huh.
Like all these gamers who talk about boycotting a game they were never going to buy in the first place.

To be fair again,
just don't play the game because it's a Sonic game. This should be the easiest boycott in the goddamn world.

Shame, I was hoping it would be like Sonic Generations (half the price of consoles and just regular Steam DRM).

If you don't like Denuvo, blame pirates. Whether it's ultimately detrimental to sales or not, casual piracy is huge on PC, and publishers see the stats on torrents and think "hmm, unconverted customers". If there weren't so many people leeching things "just because they can", publishers wouldn't have any reason to use extra DRM like Denuvo. If you're going to encourage/not discourage piracy, you really have no right to complain about DRM.

yes it lower the game performance like tekken7/sonic mania/tales of etc
the cracked ver of those games removed all those issues made by denuvo server auto check-in

hindering performance+self destruct time limit that will stops you from playing the crap that you bought....forever

You read the EULA for Sonic Mania?

It even states that in your face
that the product may one day become unplayable in their official EULA.

Exactly, it will be cracked very quick so pirates will end up with a better future proof version of the game than legit buyers which is wrong

also we sonic fans like to suffer
we got used to playing s***ty sanic games
but a s***ty sanic game with denuvo? that's going too far.

Asks for proof...gets a Steam comment thread. Okie dokey.
Also, Rime's problems with Denuvo are well documented and people need to stop citing poor implimentation as proof of anything other than developer incompetence.

The DRM was set to poll for information dozens of times *per second*, which is not what it is meant to do. It's meant to poll at most once a second, but most games don't even make it do that much. So yeah if your game is sending data to a server multiple times per second of course it'll hamper performance.

DOOM had Denuvo at luanch and when Denuvo was removed players noticed a massive increase in frame rates. They managed to claw back about 4FPS. Whoopie.

So much of the information surrounding Denuvo is conjecture, supposition or just outright rumours treated as fact.

If you're gonna hate Denuvo, at least get some actual facts to back up your hatred. Don't make stuff up to justify it.
