So this 1070ti is basically a 1080?

What? It has over 10% more shaders and 5% higher clocks

I wouldn't call that major especially the clock settings. 1070 can overclock to 1080Ti clocks.

1070 to 1080 has one of the smallest performance gaps to fill but it's obvious 1070Ti are the faulty 1080s during production.

It's actually about 20% more shaders. It's basically a 1080 and is going to perform similarly to a 1080.

You need someone to tell you when it can be Googled in 30 seconds?.

Dude, if we all use your logic, no one will be here.

It'll be less performance of a 1080 because these are the chips that failed to be a 1080 which is now being made into the 1070 Ti. The 1080 Ti are failed Titan XP chips. Failed doesn't mean broken but the manufacturing produces different speeds at mass production.

If someone posts on here talking about building a PC for the first time and asking for some advice, that's fine. It can be a little overwhelming. However, asking the price of a widely available item is an absolute joke. It's like me asking for the time.

Too late into the game.
They are obviously focusing on the next-gen gtx and wanted to release something for the market, without having to look empty.

I'll pass.

I'm patient. Waiting until the next line of cards and will get whatever is in the $300-$400 range.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

I really dont understand why nVidia does this. Why not just decrease the price of the f***ing 1080 to similar to what this 1070Ti will be?

Actually i do understand. They literally will get people to upgrade from 1070s to 1070Ti's...because people are that dumb, and nVidia are that much of a******s.
