Humble Monthly is 100% worth it. I've never been disappointed by it. They also usually have a new game bundle every Tuesday (except for when they don't.)

Bundle Stars also runs really good bundles sometimes, although not quite as good as Humble Bundle.

You might also find GOG interesting; they're a DRM-free store that was once focused on older games.

The indie market on PC is interesting. There's no quality control and dev costs are low, so 95% of it ranges from crap to okay. The best indies, however, are absolutely amazing, often offering better gameplay than AAAs.

I'm on my phone right now; when I'm on my computer I'll suggest a few indie games I enjoyed for you.

This is incredible. It's such a beautiful machine (1070, i7-7700) and it runs every game like a charm. I am absolutely stunned at how cheap I can get some games. One of the first games I wanted to get was Rise of the Tomb Raider and I was very discouraged to see that it was still $60 on the Steam store. But I later browsed Humble Bundle and to my surprise it was part of a $12 bundle with a few other games! I later wanted to see how much Skyrim was and it was $40 on Steam yet $15 on Humble Bundle!!!

PC gaming is going to pay for itself in no time! I'm excited to dive deeper into this beautiful new gaming adventure.

What games should I look into? I have a 1440p display so I want to see what games really shine with that.

Yup pretty soon you will have 500+ games on steam and only have played 20 of them lol.

...my backlog is ridiculous.

Try 1200 steam games in less than a year, not to mention another hundred or so on GOG, Uplay, Origin, Telltale, and other sites. I don't think I will ever be able to play all these games.

Humble bundle just gave away outlast and the dlc for free.

You want to keep an eye out for steam sales, humble bundle bundles and their sales. The grey market key sites are great when you cant wait for the sales.

PC Gaming is something that only gets better as time goes on and you have more to choose from.

Just take my advice: Don't preorder digital goods, wait for at least the first rounds of reviews to come out before you buy or preferably for the first patch/discount.

The only reason I've yet to buy Nier Automata is that it hasn't had a patch since launch. If they're not going to patch their games, I'll wait for the bargain bin prices.

Also if you are one of those people who hate a backlog, you should either get really picky about your purchases or only buy stuff after you feel you can mark the latest purchases off your backlog. Otherwise, a backlog is like a sickness. You start out with just one or two and then suddenly you've got 100 games in your backlog.
