With PC, you can do almost everything, such as create mods, increase graphics & FPS, make custom levels/hacks from older games such as Sonic, Super Mario World in which I've seen on Youtube, etc.

You can buy games from more than just on Steam. PC stands for "Personal Computer". As a matter of fact, there shouldn't be such a thing as "PC fanboys".

Why are console gamers so afraid of PC gaming as a whole?

Both PC and consoles have pros and cons. Just use the one that suits you better.

Because they don't want to face the fact that they're having a sub-par experience and the illusion is over the moment they acknowledge it.

This. I like using both. Plus handhelds.
It's not about the hardware in your hands, it's the software in your hearts.

You're taking for granted most people, even among gamers, aren't computer enthusiasts to the same degree PC gamers are.

With PC gaming, you have to have at least somewhat of a working knowledge of what the different computer components are, what they do, and what level of what part is needed to successfully run whatever particular game.

Throw in software, with operating systems, drivers, etc., and even more knowledge that might mean the difference of successfully running a game or not, if they don't have that knowledge.

Most of it isn't super complicated knowledge, there's just a lot of it for people whom don't have any of it, and most people don't care to learn that much.

They'd much rather have an easily identifiable system, like knowing if they buy a console, buy a game that is definitely for that console, take it home, put in the disc, it works, and they can play the game.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Just because someone uses a particular thing (or games), doesn't mean they're required to know every aspect of that thing. I use phones and think they're ok, but I'm not an enthusiast, so I'm aware there's for sure, more about phones I don't know than I do.

PC gaming is far superior. There is really no arguing it.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

Main factor for me is that certain games are only on console. There's really no argument to wanting to play an exclusive I have to have the console it's on.

And I know console gamers, they aren't afraid of PC gaming, they just don't care.
