I am trying to use my 4K TV as a monitor and for 4K games. When I hook up the HDMI cable I only get the options for 1080P as recommended and any higher res does not display. I tried a lot of things from making sure I have a good active 18GPS HDMI cable to being sure the HDMI ports on my TV were at the right setting for 4K HDR. This is driving me nuts there must be some dumb little detail I am missing.

So you're saying your GPU control panel doesn't recognize the TV as a 4K output?

Have you tried different HDMI ports?

On my 4k TV I have to use HDMI 1 (arc) for 4k with 4:4:4 chroma at 60hz.

If I used one of the other two ports with 4:4:4 chroma I'm limited to 1080p at 60hz
Meh posting brought to you by SBL inc. Makers of The Only Ink that Stinks!

Check that your TV is set to HDMI 2.0 or higher. Sometimes Auto will put it on the older 1.4 mode that isn't well suited for 4k.

You were correct it was HDMI 4 (arc). Sonys live help couldnt tell me that for some reason. Tried the Forza 7 demo and Overwatch in 4k 60FPS and now I see the light.
