I would recommend the free game Trove on Steam.
It's free on steam and it's basicly a"My first rpg" kind of deal.
The cool thing about it is you can create almost anything in game and can even build your own home.
The graphics are lovely and colourful, I'm pretty sure I would've loved it as a kid.

Aside from Trove there are a bunch of free kid type mmos on steam some of them do include animals.
I never tried any of them, watch out for micro transaction heavy games though.

Not multiplayer, but check out Slime Rancher.

The graphics are in the same style but a bit more colourful, the gameplay is completely different but as it does have building elements so you could call it that.
It's also on Ps4 yes.

Why don't you get her something like Animal crossing?

Since you also mentioned non-MMO games, Stardew Valley.

MMOs are typically toxic. Or so they are from my experience. Are you sure you want that genre?

Not only are they toxic, but they're intentionally addictive. Don't be a bad father; just keep kids away from that s***... especially the mobile variety.

Please be careful. Kid-based MMOs where they can chat with others is one of the main ways online predators meet kids these days.

I'm not saying they can't play, just monitor. It can be a good way to start teaching a kid online safety.
Just remember that MMOs are not babysitters.

And since I have a 10 year old daughter, she likes Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Terraria (needs help), Minecraft and any Lego game.
