I remember the first time i saw boobs. When i was a kid.Me and a friend were walking and talking about some stupid s*** and there it was...in the middle of the street...a box of playing cards. When we checked them out.It turned out to be a deck of porno cards. All the images of the cards were of sexy chicks. The Boob Goddess provided in that fateful day.But she later took them away(my stupid ass friend stole the best ones. When i lent him the deck of cards).

Having said that.Does anyone know the name of this cosplayer?

So here's the thing. Sex sells. No one who ever buys a game with t*** on the cover bought it BECAUSE of the t*** on the cover. The t*** grab your attention.

I'll admit this has worked on me before.

I saw this at Best Buy just after it came out and had never heard of it before. Jeanette on the cover is what prompted me to check out the game box, and in turn the description on the back made it sound cool so I picked it up. Ended up being my favorite game to this day.

Basically no one bought it. One of the great RPGs but it had the tiniest fanbase that grew over time.

Same for games like BloodRayne, Tomb Raider once the novelty fell off until she got the reboot, Playboy, there have been many games good and bad that focused on sex appeal to market the game and never got taken seriously because of it. FF X-2. The lack of women was the biggest complaint about XV though, even if there were bigger issues.
Geforce GTX whatever, i7 something or rather, some sticks of ram, an SSD and a Hard Drive with stuff on it.

Titillation sells. Personally I find that less is more. Tease something and I'll be interested. Thrust a pair in my face and I won't care a wit.

Basically no one heard of it. It's not that the game wasn't taken seriously, it was just virtually nonexistent.

It didn't help that the games just weren't good after TR2. And the reboot probably benefits more from being Tomb Raider: Uncharted Version more than anything else.

PC has always been ahead of the curve. Just look at the cover of this classic for the commodore.

And this released almost 30 years before this ground breaking report.

Of course, but knowing that "sex sells" I see a cover festooned with CG/animated/real boobies as warning sign of a subpar game. If they have such little confidence in their game that they have to fall back on tired old marketing tactics, it's probably not the game for me. This is not always true of course, but a good guideline. Hell, if you turn off adblock on this site I'm sure you'll see no shortage of ads for free-to-play dreck featuring scantily-clad elves/maidens in suggestive poses.
