It took me like over an hour to install and yea it was pretty hard, but what's wrong with it though except for taking a long time to install?

Didnt find any suitable clip on coolers, that would offer any great cooling, but this cooler should not be too hard to install at all:

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer A32:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186139&cm_re=cpu_cooler_am3-_-35-186-139-_-Product

The installation should not be too bad as it uses the Amd backplate:

Actually my friend installed the newer Freezer 33 to a Am4 motherboard and it was easy to put on in the end.

That doesn't seem so hard, but the installation process deters me. It's not putting it on, it's taking it back off, and so on. Call me lazy, and my case is so badly cable managed I may not have the clearance for these huge ones.

You should have plenty of clearance to install that Freezer cooler, it is not too big for a tower cooler.

I know the zalman alone has the room, but it makes me wonder given how messy my first build got when i kept shoving s*** in from upgrade addiction.

The Evo 212 is a bit of a pain to install but it's worth it. I have it installed to my 860k.

If you're not overclocking then the Coolermaster T2 will do great for you. It's smaller and easier to install than the 212 Evo and it still has the easy AMD clip. It's only 20 bucks normally.

That's really cool, and shot to the top of my priority, thanks!

The heat wave broke today, and my cpu is idle at 30 c again. Not optimal, but compared to idle 70 it's a godsend.

Do yourselves a favor get a Cryorig H7, better performance, way better look, much easier to install and it has a solid copper plate unlike the 212 where it uses individual pipes on the plate. The 212 is a pretty crap design.
