You have to really wonder why Atlus is trying so hard to protect Persona 5 from being shown to people if it's really a good game. At this point I'm wondering if it's a steaming pile of garbage and that's why they don't want a wider audience (PC via emulation) to play it or see it via videos.

So PS3/PS4 owners aren't any sort of significant audience, apparently? Go read a review. This is 2017 goty.

Atlus didn't want people getting spoiled. Also, they don't want people stealing the game. Not unreasonable since that's what happens when it's playable in an emulator.

Which is a sure sign of a lack of faith in their own product. If someone voluntarily watching the ending of the game invalidates it's purchase value, it's not a good game.

I wasn't aware emulation and piracy are the same thing!

That's not what I said.

And Atlus is simply exercising their right to protect their IP.
I think they've taken the freedom and liberty thing a BIT TOO FAR!

You're seriously saying that watching gameplay videos is piracy?

I guess it's piracy for me to watch NFL games then. I should just be there playing the sport, after all.

If you want to play certain games, you need to own the platform they're on.

Such a novel concept that PC gamers oft forget.

No you don't. Emulation has been a valid legal and commercial product for decades.

Take it from someone who's played the game. Persona 5 is a good game with plot twists that make MUCH less of an impact to your playing experience if a) You've been spoiled and b) You're unfamiliar with previous entries.
