going ssd is worth it just for removal of noise

Noise, heat, power needed.... speed, there's a ton of advantages, but it's pricey and if you're a cheap bastard (or a poor bastard) then it's kinda out of the question.

Since TC is deciding that he would rather save some money than time, it doesn't really matter what you say. Like many others, he already had his mind made up before making this topic and just wanted everyone to tell him what he wanted to hear for reassurance purposes.

It's sad how many topics on gamefaqs break down to this.

I knew either way it would turn to that, lol.

Last night I ordered a 4 TB black 7200 RPM for $180.

You should play modern pc games on an SSD, but 7200 rpm is significantly faster than 5400 rpm.
If you don't like microtransactions in full priced AAA games, vote with your wallet and don't buy those games.

If you think a SSD is pointless for gaming then might as well buy the 5400 RPM for 4TB.

11 months ago I got my 750 GB SSD for ~$99 new.

Edit: Apparently my ssd is now $299.

Yeah I think the prices went up about the same time the price of RAM went up.

750GB for $99 would be a fire-sale price.

Honestly, if I saw that sale, I wouldve bought one.

You're like that guy who tries to join a conversation, but no one ever responds to.

you responded.

There's a lot of internet tough guys who do nothing but enter topics to tell us that they don't cry over video games, that everyone should just go outside more, get laid, "do you even lift" type bro nonsense, and "ROFL never change" is a classic line since it doesn't really say anything but it's guaranteed to annoy people.

Just smile and nod and move on. You can't talk sense into a stump. You can't reason with a brick wall. etc.

I can't imagine the load times in games like skyrim on a 5400rpm. Must takes forever. If it's one time it's alright but man there are a lot of ins and outs in open world games.

Would drive me insane.

7200rpm is like waiting for food at a subway
5400rpm is like going to a fancy restaurant and waiting for the food to arrive for ages.
