I have i7 1070 and havent played a game yet that doesnt run in full ultra 2k and 144fps with gsync

Ok, now try The Witcher 3, Battlefield 1, or pretty much any semi-demanding game. I have an overclocked 1080 and still can't reach 144fps in most games at 1440p.

As for TC's question, you might find some games are going to require you to drop some settings down, but you should be good for at least 60fps in most games.

If you have the money, look for an ASUS ROG Swift. 144hz (you won't reach it except in older games, but it's nice in those games anyway) and GSYNC. GSYNC is great, and you will be able to make use of framerates higher than 60, but lower than 120/144. I find that 70+ looks great.
