Again, that becomes an addiction to getting something of value, for nothing.

Should probably stop trying to tell people what's what about gambling addiction. You're spreading misinformation

And you should probably stop while you are waaaaaaaay f***ing behind. But I doubt either of us gives a rat's ass about the others opinion.

It's not an opinion that people get addicted to gambling for a multitude of various, different, reasons. And that those some reasons can apply across various forms of gambling. So again, stop trying to tell people what's what about gambling. It's really dumb.

Gambling even being a real addiction is an opinion. It's nothing but a lack of willpower, and the pathetic tendencies of people without.

Ok, we're done. Your opinion is obviously laced with personal bias so please just stop spreading misinformation.

Expecting new and exciting regulation about loot boxes is ridiculous and dumb. It's not gambling.

Expect for all the cases where it's directly facilitating gambling you mean.

No one's suggesting they shouldn't. But the publishers aren't getting a free pass on their part in it. After all they profit from it massively too.

So, every item that could ever potentially be used for gambling must now be regulated under gambling rules? Guess that means Pac-Man is out

If you want to hold publishers accountable, don't buy their product. Calling for government intervention in a business practice you don't like is just silly. I don't like Burger King, so I don't go there. I don't like loot boxes, so I'm not buying Forza. Easy solution to an simple problem.

I love internet forums, there'll always be somebody who thinks they can disprove a metric s*** ton of legit journal articles involving any topic.

The ESRB is irrelevant to PC gaming anyway. Steam store pages don't show the ESRB rating.
