Any game that doesn't have an online component.

The current Cuphead community kinda refutes this claim

Really? That's a shame.

At least with a single-player focused game you are never forced to interact with a toxic community, when you're playing an MP-centric game, you have no choice.

This is a fair point yes. But anyone looking to participate in talking about the game are met with the same cringe-worthy attitudes as the "Souls" fanbase. And I say this as someone who loves both games. Elitist as f*** communities are just tiring. That's why I don't interact with the fanbases of those franchises

I've never seen a toxic free playerbase. I don't really expect it.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

Fighting game is the less toxic gameplay wise.

Um . . .no

Fighting games are SUPER toxic, people RAGE so hard it's not even funny and will accuse you of 'cheese" no matter what. And in most of them, if you are about to win they will alt F4 / Dashboard / rage quit so you don't get the win. I've gotten more hate mail from fighting games than any other game genre I can think of.

On the Xbox 360 I had like 98% positive rep for years, and then played Soul Caliber online for like 2 weeks and in that time I dropped to like 30% positive rep from all the raging players that lost

Warframe. Hell, you'll see topics on Reddit on how they met a good bro player. That game really has a good community, but mostly because it's PvE in nature.
