I looked into your build and slightly modified one of them to suite my needs of wifi and a modular psu and made it under $850. Thanks a lot. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/N9rTGf

You will want to buy atleast two extra 140mm fans to install them to the front of the case, as the case only comes with one 140mm rear one.

There’s space in the case for 5x 140mm fans; 2x on top, one on the rear, and the big fan on the front can be replaced with 2x 140mm fans. Would it be optimal if I install all 5 fans or would that be overkill?

You could try to put the 2x140mm to the front and check the temperatures, if not enough one 140mm directly to the top of the case, above the cpu cooler should do it.

Would there be any downsides to having all 5 installed? Sound is the only I can think of.

That will create a negative airflow in the case, if you have more fans blowing air out of the case, than blowing inside the case. Negative airflow will bring more dust inside the case, than positive airflow.

I guess, you will have to clean the inside of the case more often and the noise it creates is more, but if you are willing to take these few negative points, then sure why not five 140mm case fans.

My build is still the best and yet everyone ignores it....

You blatantly ignored my OP. I said no AMD / ATI and what do you do? You list an AMD build. That’s why I’m not bothering with it.

I did not but did it anyways as it the best value for your money. Why are you so hellbent on Intel? You said you want to have more upgrade options and AMD offers that as Intel not so much.

Sure Ryzen is best value for the money and the cpu can be upgraded for better ones in the near future, but what can you do if OP wants Intel for his build. Atleast the Coffee lake i5-8400 is a solid one for the money and will work many years before needing a upgrade.

Add a SSD of 480 - 500 GB as the minimum since triple A games are huge right now. With a chaper B360 Mobo next year, you can set up an excellent i5 8400 build.
i3 6100, GIGABYTE Radeon Rx 480 8GB WINDFORCE, Corsair Vengeance 8 GB RAM Red LED, EVGA 600w White PSU, Toshiba 500 GB HD, Riotoro CR 480, GIGABYTE Intel H110

i would go with i7-8700k + GTX 1060 6G + 16G ram.

That would not make it a balanced build at all with that gpu and a overpriced cpu.

The idea is that CPU will last you forever.

What would be the immediate benefits of the 8GB 1070 vs 6GB 1060 on a 1080p display?
