Can it run Dolphin, PCSX2, and PPSSPP at full speed? Does it have enough power to run what few games are playable on Cemu?

I want to get a decent Gaming PC for both PC games and emulation, and Ryzen 3 is currently the cheapest good quad-core available.

Havent tested personally but based on specs it should be more than enough for dolphin and pcsx2l..

Cemu is a different story. In the future it might be okay but right now i think people are using overclocked 7700k to get full speed on cemu.

did a quick search and it seems like you would be better off going intel for emulation

You want 1800+ single thread rating. My r5 1500x has 1864 and runs everything i throw at it just fine. The 1300x has 1853 and the 1200 has 1724. You'll need speed hacks for some ps2 games like shadow colossus and champions return to arms, but as far as i know Intel needs them too on some games. GameCube everything is gravy and i haven't tried psp

There's also a promo code for some sort of discount on newegg for the 1300x until 10/18

It should mostly be fine, but cheaper Intel chips do better for the most part.

So Cemu is basically "Don't bother unless you're willing to spend $300+ on your CPU?"

Also according to this: https://www.anandtech.com/show/11658/the-amd-ryzen-3-1300x-ryzen-3-1200-cpu-review/4
Stock Ryzen 3 1200 scores 435 seconds in the Dolphin bench mark. An actual Wii scored 17.53 minutes (About 1050 seconds,) So any CPU with a score less than that is capable of 100% speed in Dolphin, right?

The new 8600k or even the newer 8000 series i3s should be fine too.
