well with them having desktop grade gpu's,there alot more viable now.

Pretty much this. Even a "cheap" laptop with a 1050ti is pretty decent for gaming on a 1080p display.

Well, since laptops are lighter and the import tax for laptops where I live is 13%, these are not a bad option.

While I'm all for gaming laptops, especially when you consider the price/performance ratio with respect to BUSINESS CLASS LAPTOPS (which are overpriced pieces of s***), everyone forgets a very important thing about gaming laptops....

They still last, at most, half the life span of a PC sadly due to heat issues.

Many gaming laptops now have two fans to help with thermal management. I still see the lifespan of gaming laptops last at least more than 4-5 years.

They are mini ones with one fan, but they are dedicated gpus and not integrated. At least some of them.
