Does having two officials in the topic title make it a double positive?

Well there wasn't enough space to put "Windows 10 Fall Creators Update now officially available from MicroSoft's website."

Cool. Can't wait to see how badly this mangles W10.

The last major W10 update botched and made colors in Metro menus annoyingly bright for me. Creators Update in January completely broke functionality for a ton of controllers for no reason, and this isn't even getting into how bad audio drivers are in W10 in general.

And that is why I am switching to Linux when my current Windows build dies. Better to use an OS that has steadily increasing compatibility than one which has a steadily DECREASING compatibility list.

Thanks for the heads up. Updating at the moment. May as well get it out the way.

Looks like the Update is about 3GB

Now I'm just idly waiting for it to finish. Updating process is taking it's sweet time :[ It got upto 70ish percent pretty quickly and then started crawling percent to percent.

Yeah, programs on W10 tend to run better when you eliminate the update nag. It's been known for years and years that part of the update nag process in Windows is to make the OS run slower until you update.

It's a scare tactic to fool you into thinking the update is useful.

Don't really care for any of the changes but the GPU Info in Task Manager is nice. I don't need to open Asus GPU Tweak II anymore if I just want to check my usage real quick.

And the currency conversion capability added to the calculator are cool. Either way, I got the update out the way.

Something I just noticed though... what's the 'GPU Memory' picking up? My 1070 doesn't have 15.9GB of VRAM...
