Didnt like the braiding on my g502 mouse, the braiding made the cord very stiff/heavy and it was always getting stuck everywhere, so i took off the braiding. Now the mouse is much more responsive and i dont feel the cord that much anymore.

The cords like 6 feet long. How far do you move your mouse that it gets stuck on things? Better yet, how much of a f***ing mess is your desk that there are things for your mouse cord to even get stuck on?

Honestly, mine gets stuck on the back end of the desk too. And dust just sticks to it.

Something is hopelessly wrong if the mouse cord goes directly in a straight line from the mouse to the back of the table with no slack sitting on the table.

Mine got stuck in the back end of the desk too and there is nothing in the desk to get it stuck otherwise, the cord just felt strange for the longers time for me, so a testing was in order. There is now a lot of slack sitting on the table and the cable is no more stiff.

Had a Roccat savu mouse with the braided cable before, but is was not so stiff like the g502 have.

I have to agree. I tend to prefer a more traditional cable too.

I know 100% what it is. The cord is pretty long and there’s a Velcro strap to wrap it up. The extra cord length creates enough weight so that over time the mouse slowly drifts toward the back of the table. In my case it takes about a week before it creeps back enough for me to notice. The time it takes for yours to slide back will depend on how much extra cord you’ve got and how slick your mousepad is. When you try to pull the mouse forward the nylon catches on the back lip of the desk.

What’s funny is that I mounted hooks underneath the desk to loop cables on, but it’s such a pain in the ass to crawl under there and loop stuff up that I just quit using them.

Honestly, the nylon doesn’t do crap anyway. Might as well remove it. The wire won’t catch anymore and it’ll be easier to clean.

Why not just tape a part of the cord onto the desk? Doesn't get stuck anywhere anymore.

That velcro is 100% for tethering it to your heavy keyboard so you don't feel the weight of the extra cord length.
