Just wondering which of these people would reccomend picking up.

Constructor (played on PS1 years ago)
Dawn of War 3 (played and enjoyed previous ones)
Xcom 2 War of chosen (Again played everything to date of the redone XCOM games)
Warhammer Total War 2 (Played and enjoyed all other entries)

I'd say either XCOM 2 (WoC is an expansion. You need the base game in case you didn't know) or Warhammer. XCOM 2 if you like small scale tactics where every unit counts, Warhammer if you are more into large battles.

Haven't played constructor, so I can't give an opinion on that.
DoW 3 has done away with a lot of the intense micro from the DoW 2 games and is generally considered pretty a lot worse.

I'd say Warhammer 2 > Xcom 2 expansion > Constructor > DoW3.

And I have no idea what Constructor is.

Looks like you get them all eventually.

See if any go on sale for Halloween, then get that.

Total War 2 and Xcom 2 WotC are both great... never heard anything good about DoW3 though.

i too enjoyed original constructor and totally wanted to get HD at some point but it was delayed for a long time and was released under the radar to pretty crap reviews apparently because of horrendous glitches and bugs.

XCOM expansion is spectacular, adds a lot of cool stuff and is absolutely worth the entry price.

Warhammer 2 is also excellent, a lot of good improvements over the first. And the Mortal Empires patch comes out this week, that combines the two games into one big campaign.

Between those two, I liked Warhammer 2 more, but that's mostly a style preference; I like grand strategy and large-scale battle over squad tactics. You really can't go wrong with eithe rthough.

I have no opinion on Constructor, I've never played it.

Stay away from Dawn of War 3. By all reports it's significantly worse than the first two. From my perspective it seems to ignore the second game entirely (which is a shame for me, as I preferred it over the first). And just takes the first game and adds some forced esports elements to it.
The sole purpose of this space is to make my post look longer.

Space Hulk is another squad based tactical game you might be interested in if you like the original board game and the Warhammer 40k universe.
Hardcore - We'll probably be modded for this...
