I'm guessing most people still use Fraps or possibly Shadowplay to record gameplay, however, I'm still wondering what are the most used video editing programs?

So far, these are the programs I've been hearing about:

-Adobe Premiere (Pay Monthly (~$20/Month or ~$240/Year))
-Adobe Premiere Elements (~$100 One time purchase)

-Vegas Pro 14 Steam Edition
(~$130 on Steam) (Used to be owned by Sony now owned by MAGIX Software GmbH)
-Vegas Pro Edit 15
(~$400 on Steam) (Used to be owned by Sony now owned by MAGIX Software GmbH)

Anything else I'm missing? It seems like there should be more than just 2 companies that produce programs for video editing. I know there's a bunch of free programs out there but I don't really want to use anything if it's not from a reliable source.

It's a lot different from the two. I used to do Adobe Premier but it's too expensive for certain short video projects. I decided to go with Resolve. It's free but I haven't mess with it a lot. You have to transcode or encode your video files to mp4.

Windows Movie Maker. YouTube compresses the hell out of audio and visual anyway.
