I’m looking at the humble bundle that’s about to expire and I wouldn’t mind paying $5 for borderlands 1 and 2, but is borderlands the pre-sequel worth playing?

Pre-Sequel is entirely skippable. It's not exactly bad, but I'd only say it's worth it if you really like the franchise a lot.

It's the story of how the bad guy in 2 rises to power, but...

I loved Borderlands the Prequel for the story, mostly because of Handsome Jack.

Gameplay wise, there are some really REALLY questionable decisions made. Like bosses that don't respawn (like they do in BL2), that drop Orange/Legendary weapons. So if you like hunting loot, looking for that specific weapon, not only can you not kill that boss till you hit max level, but you have to get insanely lucky that they drop it on that kill.

And honestly, I didn't like the whole low gravity thing. The heroes themselves are pretty fun, I enjoyed Athena the most.

It's hard to say if you'll enjoy it. Gameplay wise, it's a step back from BL2. Story wise, it was pretty enjoyable.

I really enjoyed the low gravity of Pre-Sequel and more Jack was great but most of the areas just weren't as fun to me and some long, slow walks in a couple quests were a pain and awfully boring. Also the Aussieness was a bit overdone at times IIRC, I think I found it annoying through the first section and some later parts.

But for $5? Yeah it's well worth that but after BL1 and 2 and it's True/Ultimate Vault Hunter modes (if you do them) and DLC, you might be sick of it by then.

Also, grab the community patch and FilterTool for Borderlands 2.

And maybe a better vendors mod to make them worth looking at >_>

I have that game for the vita as well. Don't bother.
It has serious issues with frame rate. Some places it gets so bad, the frame rate drops to single digits.
Same problem with Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the vita. It's not unplayable, it's just baaad frame rate.
And I love my vita. :(
It's great to see them trying to shove a ps3 game into handheld, but at that time period, the vita just wasn't powerful enough to do that.
The switch might be able to pull it off, just not the vita
Now, say my name.
