What's are some of the "hardest" games to run maxed out at 1080 with 60fps, and how much would a PC able to run said nonsense be don't need 4k 120fps w/e, just good ol' 1080-60.

Ryzen 5 1600
gtx 1060 6gb
16 gb ram (can go 8 if truly poverty)

pretty much the best 1080p/60 price to performance ratio, depending on the other parts you get for your PC you are looking at around 800-900 usd before tax

There are always games that will not run at consistent 60fps, no matter the hardware or resolution. That being said, the system above is a decent attempt to reach the unreachable.
If brute force doesn't fix the problem, you're not using enough of it.

the "hardest" game to run maxed out at 1080p with 60fps would probably be PUBG atm. back in China, where it is really popular, a lot of internet LAN cafes had to upgrade their hardware specifically to run it.

In order to max it out, you'd need an i7-7700k, 16g ram, and nvidia GTX 1060 6G. Actually a lot of prebuilts being sold there are specifically advertised as being able to "max" PUBG, and they basically have these specs.

Around 600-1000dlrs depending if you have absolutely nothing and how good a monitor/parts you want.

I would personally suggest a 1070, so that it lasts longer playing at max settings 1070. Some games are just very hard hitting, like Deus Ex Mankind divided where it basically takes my GTX1080 to get 1080p 60fps+ and the 1070 can drop to 50s (for ultra).

the 1060 is still a very capable GPU for most games at 1080/60fps. but you will soon have to drop some settings to keep the high performance up.

It won't be running at 60 fps.

I have a 1060 6bg, 16 gb ram, i7 3770.

I run 95 percent of games maxed at 1080p 60fps. Occasional dips to like 55.

I'd go with a 1070 for future performance but it's a few hundred more.

Ya I get that too and my build is pretty beastly for 1080p 60fps gaming. Probably why G-Sync is so important.

Mainly early access games that aren't optimized yet. There are some "finished" games that aren't optimized either though, like Satellite Reign.
