So I ran several benchmarks to test the speed of Chrome, Firefox Quantum, and Edge. Edge did the worst in all but the graphics test, and Firefox narrowly beat out Chrome on speed of searching and running JavaScript applications. Honestly, not that impressive.

So Firefox has doubled it's speed and is now the fastest browser there is, and you say "not that impressive"

Really??

Eh, Waterfox is better.

Mostly because of legacy addons, but also because thanks to utilizing multiple 64-bit cores it beats the snot out of FF's performance.

I tried waterfox and it was insanely slow and would often not boot up when I tried to open it and just crash or open up as a background process and I was forced to end task it. It did this on 2 completely different machines as well.

It's not just "faster", it's "ludicrously faster". It makes the old Firefox look like an antiquated joke.

Anyone know how to make Firefox open whatever pinned tabs you had open last time and keep you logged Into websites? No solution I found on google works with Quantum.

That's your "Restore previous session" options. Works fine on my work laptop that has Quantum, should be in your settings. For staying logged in, that's one of the privacy options that clears all your crap and deletes cookies when you close Firefox, tell it to stop doing that

because there's no point in switching browsers if it's only barely beating it..it's a lot of hassle to switch browsers.

If Firefox being faster/just as fast as Chrome while also being more privacy based isn't enough for people, they need to just stick to Chrome because Firefox isn't the browser for them.
You don't understand. Edgar is the one in the hole.

Pardon me while I alternate between laughing my ass off and weeping for what our genepool has fallen to.
