I don't buy from EA. I don't buy games not on sale. My desire for gaming has diminished quite a bit over the years though, so I really don't buy much at all anymore. I'm lucky if I can get myself to boot something up once a week.
With deeper knowledge and experience, everything becomes more shallow.

I could write an article on the psychological reasons companies prefer to use Monopoly money over straight cash purchases for microtransactions but I'm sure you can find some on your own.

Which doesn't change the fact that monopoly money is purchased with real money. So don't try and blow me off like I don't get it when you're the one that's full of s***.

Listen, I think SilentCaay is annoying too, but in this case he's right. It's sorta the same reason why you use chips at a casino instead of money.

It's easier to throw away 10,000 chips than it is to throw away $100.00, and it's more likely they'll make the conversion even harder so you can't do it in your head easily. Something like $10 = 800 Dingo Dollars, and then you buy stuff in blocks of 250 to 300 Dingo dollars and so the only time you're thinking about it is when you're buying more dingo dollars because you needed 900 Dingo dollars for 3 things (300 each) but you only had 800...

There used to be this really awesome article on the internet that totally went into detail on how to set up your skinner box ...er... I mean your online game with microtransactions. It told you how often to let them level up to get that feeling of euphoria going and then just how often to gouge them for money to make sure they kept playing.

I guess it was too good because I think they took it down (or at least I can't find it anymore). Maybe I'm wrong and they just moved it (or hid it more likely). They don't want the public to know just how much they're pulling the wool over your eyes. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!

I know, but his comment was a derailment that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. Splitting hairs over weather or not stuff is purchased straight up with real money or with in-game credits that were themselves purchased with real money has nothing to do with how we categorize monetized add-on content. So then to continue on as if I simply didn't understand the concept is annoying as f***.

Don't know why you're getting so defensive over the difference between DLC and microtransactions in the first place. It's getting pretty weird at this point.

/facepalm

We're moved onto to talking about how annoying you are. Got anything to contribute to that?

I don't mind being annoying as long as I'm right. Next time don't tell people to ignore other people when they're not wrong.

If Belgium classifies Overwatch and Star Wars Battlefront 2 as gambling then I hope more countries will follow suit of this. Its time that this practice dies. Perhaps mobile gaming will also get looked at too.

Next time don't derail the conversation just so you can be annoyingly right about something that doesn't even relate to what we're talking about.

I was adding to the conversation. What you're trying to do right now, that's derailing the conversation. Let it go and get back on topic.
