I like the klipsch promedias as a quick fix set.

they're kinda both overrated and underrated at the same time... because your money will go way further with a good DAC and a decent set of speakers but at the same time they're pretty damn good as far as in the box PC speaker sets.

If you are an audiophile that cares more about "flat & boring but accurate audio" then feel free to spend more.

I'd rather have more fun audio that pops the noises I want to hear over the boring stuff.

With a 2.0 the midrange pops, with a 2.1 the bass pops.

On a website chock full of dumb statements, that one stands out.

And I'm not even going to waste my time with someone that has an idiotic mind set like that, so don't even bother with a response.

Yeah I had a good laugh at that too.

Was I misunderstood? I don't care about reference audio, I turn on BBE and Xbass settings on my headsets because I want to feel and hear specific parts of music/games better.

Flat EQ settings are the most boring uninteresting sounding droll ever, I honestly don't know why people chase this dream of 'needing to hear it exactly like it was recorded.' Dream that has no upper limit of expenses.

Get something that's better than Walmart garbage, isn't super offbrand cheap that will last you a few years, adjust the EQ as needed when you get it.

The klipsch are probably overkill for the vast majority of people anyways, seeing as people think that apple ear buds actually sound good they probably think that anything sounds good.

Additionally, for my case I'm actually going deaf (many ear infections and surgeries on both ears; my eardrums have scar tissue over them that dull the highs and blot out the bass unless it's overpowered.) which probably explains why I like colored audio and EQ settings.

It is annoying to be listening to a piano solo like moonlight sonata and there is still this thumping bass
