Sonic Colours emulates nearly flawlessly in Dolphin, and has a 60fps mod too.

The Sonic games most desperately needing PC releases are 06 and Unleashed, as the Xbox 360 and PS3 are unemulatable outside of very specific titles (mostly 2d), and both games would greatly benefit from PC modding support (06 could definitely use some unofficial patching to at least make it somewhat stable instead of being made entirely out of bugs).

Sadly I think both will remain stuck on unemulatable systems, so unless someone comes up with a brilliant fanmade engine remake for 06 and/or finishes the various Generations mods, they'll likely remain unplayable on PC for the foreseeable future.

Who would want 06 and Unleashed in any shape of form, though? Those games are horrible. To me they should be buried in the forgotten sands time.

Keep that Smelly hedghog away from PC

He smells only because he runs too much. It makes him sweaty.

Also, he doesn't like water that much.

I recall 06 being so disappointing because parts of it almost worked but were sabotaged by the package as a whole?

Also for Sonic Forces is the primary complaint its short length?

Not really. People complain because it's three games in one and none of them work very well.

The Classic Sonic parts are very rare and don't play as well as in Generation and not even close to Mania. The Modern Sonic parts, they say, don't feel as good as in Generations and are the "best" part of the game (that says a lot). And in the Character parts you are overpowered. And in all of them, the level design is disappointing.

They created a formula for Modern Sonic in Unleashed (day levels), improved it in Colours, improved it again in Generations, and now they seem to have forgotten how it was.
I should really start finishing the phrases I...

There is the Unleashed mod for Sonic Generations. Obviously just the daytime stages and no Eggmanland but for most people thats probably the parts theyre interested in.

Hence why I said "finishes the various Generations mods". Unleashed won't truly be complete in mod form until AT LEAST a remake of Eggmanland (since the original layout requires the Werehog, which has zero chance of being added to Generations without EXE and/or ASM hacks becoming a thing) is released. Even then, no bosses from said game means you're still not getting the full experience.

As for 06, while the Generations mod for that game basically fixes 99% of the issues, it's still missing partner characters, a bunch of stages, boss fights, and Shadow/Silver stages (though imo for that last one, it'd be better just to make alternate Sonic layouts that "emulate" the Shadow/Silver layouts without using the crappy mechanics from both characters). Nowhere near completely replacing the original game.

Basically I just want every Sonic game to be playable on PC in some form. Sonic 06 and Unleashed are the only two main games left that cannot be played on PC (reasonsbly, anyway; 06 is surprisingly the best emulated game on the 360, but it still has a looooong way to go before it's actually emulated near perfectly), so PC ports of both would mean the entire series would be playable on PC.
