I'm planning on getting a new SSD this week, would this be the best bang for my buck? Or does anyone know of something better?

That's a fine deal, but don't keep anything important on it. Perfect for OS/games if you wanted to.

If you want reliable SSD storage, it's really Samsung or bust.

Yeah that’s exactly what I’m going to use it for, the OS and maybe put a few games on it, but I’m concerned about these comments on SanDisk now. Is it going to crap out on me in 6 months?

So would this be a better deal then? Worth the extra $20?

That's an m.2 drive, typically used in laptops. Unless you know you've got the slot for it, it's probably not what you're looking for. You want a 2.5" SSD.

THIS is worth the extras $20 if you're really concerned for longevity: http://a.co/0QyFKFY
