You're not remembering wrong. That video wasn't meant for the public to see, and there was nothing in the game or any of its official marketing suggesting that's what it stood for. Murder Death Kill was a fan backronym, and it's unknown if that actually came from the video, or if it's just a coincidence that the fans got it right.

The devs have been pretty jokey and inconsistent about what it stood for. The manual mentions "Mission: Deliver Kindness," and some patch notes suggest "Mothers Day Kisses." MDK2 suggests it stands for "Max, Dr. Hawkins, Kurt."

The unofficial use definitely came off the back of Demolition Man. Wouldn't be surprised if that was where the devs got the name from as well, but always wanted to play it coy.

Hm, doubly interesting lol. Thanks for mentioning that info. Guess MDK is sort of a Schrödinger's cat.

I stand... uncorrected.

It's important to know what the rules are first, so that, when you decide to break them, you can better judge the effect.

Already had MDK, but I noticed that Titan Quest has an all new expansion, thanks TC.

Great, thanks for the heads up.

I really liked MDK when I was a teen, even if it was a lot shorter than I was expecting.

It probably didn't age that well but I remember having a lot of fun with that game and I already bought them both.
