I converted a bunch of my game keys to gift links to give to my viewers during my 1k celebration stream. When giving the links to my viewers we found that a lot of the links were returning "key already redeemed" messages.

going through my list i found about 30 keys that were "already redeemed" I looked further into it and found out that gift links can be brute forced and stolen as humble doesn't require a login for a gift link. So key resellers run bots that generates humble gift links and tries them to see if they work.

I contacted humble with a list of the stolen keys and the bundle they were from. Instead of assisting they accused me of being a key reseller and refuse to help me recover what was stolen.

Be careful with humble bundle guys. You can get f***ed over.

yeah this happened to me once before too. I don't generate the links anymore until I'm giving the key to someone.

It was only for 4 games or so, so they gave me new keys.

well, that's new.

i assume if you never reveal/redeem a key in the first place then no problem, correct?

correct. The key becomes activated when revealed, and then the code can be used. Honestly, thats less a security concern and more extremely bad timing. The person would have had to get your specific key after it had been revealed. Unless you reveal the second you buy games even if you dont use the codes for days or more, thats still almost impressive.
