Thankfully at least someone is listening. This s*** is damaging, especially to youth and people with a pre-disposition toward addiction.

It IS gambling whether or not EA, Blizzard, or others ever admit it. There need to be checks and balances in place to protect vulnerable people, and at the *very least* the odds of winning any particular prize needs to be completely transparent and games centered around these mechanics need to be restricted to 18+, that's a legal buying age, not merely an ESRB suggestion.

For once, I fully approve of the Federal government interfering. Even on the basis of "Think of the children".

...What a strange time, and strange feeling.
If you don't like what a gaming company is trying to force upon you and the market, don't buy that company's games.
Cruel DRM can only flourish if you let it.

Life was better when people had to experience mistakes, learn from it, and suffer the rest of their lives because of it. Now you have high levels carrying you. Casual filth.

Essentially you win something of value every time you buy a Pokemon card pack, that's not true of gambling.

Edit: I trimmed this down to make it more succinct...

Well America, today you took one step forward with this. Unfortunately ya took two steps back with the FCC announcing its plan to repeal net neutrality today.

Best of luck down there you crazy a******s.
