Fighting games excel at PVP against other online opponents. Getting fighters for PC games is pretty pointless when the userbase is small and when PC players can't expand their horizons beyond old games.
The one way to deal with PC gamers is to treat them how developers treat them. Which is ignoring them completely and giving them scraps every now and then

Most fighting games are 1 v 1, so why do you care if there are only a few hundred people for most of them?

And yet there are far more on the Playstation 4 that play fighters in comparison to the PC base. Which means more chances of finding more people to play. Bigger community. Despite the so called bumps in resolution, people in competitive tournaments and Evo still use consoles for fighting games. Resolution bump might be cool and all, but it means nothing when you have to spend several minutes to even 30 minutes to find a match, while the Ps4 version will have a match in seconds

plus most sales for fighting games come from consoles. Which =Bigger online community, point blank.

Well, the fighting game community is made of complete idiots. Even when fighting games show 3-4 frames LESS of input lag on PC, they still use console versions.

Also, f***ing lol at any fighting game that doesn't have cross platform compatibility.

Again, most fighting games are 1v1 so who cares if the numbers are a few hundred or a few thousand for an active community. You'll still be able to find a match (hell I still play on full servers on Chivalry and that game needs 24 players in a match)

Also we cant expand our horizon beyond old games? The entire top seller page of steam are all new games with the exceptions being games on sale from 2015/2016 and Rocket League.

After 30 minutes, while the PS4 version will have much more players to boot . More people get the Ps4 version=More active community, especially if the game is halfway decent. The fact that competitive tournaments still use console versions to play fighting games(instead of the PC versions) only confirms to me that they look at the PC as a joke. That and less people get it

That's the real bummer about most non-MMOs on PC, the multiplayer communities die off unless they're those already established games we already know about so no point in referencing. Things like PUBG are an anomaly, even if it was just in the CS range for longevity.

Console has limited selection so holds onto audiences longer.

I'm genuinely surprised that many people are still playing Nioh. Game sucks. Must be a temporary boost since mouse support was added.
