GTX 1080, cause the 1070s were above MSRP so figure an extra $70 and get a 1080.

GTX 970. I was building a new machine in 2014 and it was a best bang for the buck gaming card. It's still holding up well today, but it's Gigabyte, and Gigabyte has been pretty unreliable for me the past few years. I think something is wrong with it. I sent it in, but their support is worse than their quality. They just sent it back having barely tested it if at all.

970 from 2014 back when the Canadian dollar had some value, so only $400. Same tier is now $700. Weirdly in 2018, my machine is still worth more than what I built it for in 2014.

Haven't felt the need to update, the 970 is still maxing every game I play effortlessly. And any game it probably couldn't max, I am boycotting because of denuvo.

1070. I checked out benchmarks from DigitalFoundry and decided upon it.

It was my first pc build and I wanted a solid 1080p60 experience on max settings pretty much all across the board.

PC seemed all about higher quality graphics / 60 FPS after all. I wanted to see this experience.

Being further in the PC Realm for awhile now though, seems like it's all about HFR now. (100 Hz and upwards)

I think I'll stick with just a 60 FPS target. No HFR for me.

Since I have a G-Sync monitor I found it best to let it run as fast as it wants and let the monitor handle the varied framerate. Glad I got the G-Sync.

GTX 1050ti.

Didn't feel like spending the extra for a 1060, which are/were expensive in Canada anyways. The 1050 runs all I need anyways.

I chose it because I want to make sure that my waifus are rendered at an acceptable level.
