Might as well stick to what we already have + dsfix

Not even using the DS3 engine like previously speculated.

Still getting it on Switch. Having a portable version is too good to pass up.

For multiplayer purposes and PvP it will be better.

How can they even call it remastered if they're not going to ...you know... remaster it?

"Here ya go, pay extra money for 60fps!" doesn't count as a remaster to me.

Then again, I've seen a lot of these magazines reporting on s*** that they clearly have no information on... in this case they heard it regarding the Nintendo switch version. That may or may not apply to the PC.

That's still no reason to skip on the remaster. I'm hoping for proper vsync, fullscreen, 60fps, and resolution boost. DSfix is like a hatchet job. You still have to play in 720p/30fps with borderless gaming to get it to run as intended.

If there are no new assets, we're still looking at the original textures being upscaled from 720/1080p to high res.

Yes, DSfix has major issues and doesn't even work correctly a lot of the time but this thing is releasing for $60.00 on PC with basically nothing over what we already have with DSfix.

It having better multiplayer isnt' worth the price they're selling it for.

Yeah, I mean that is a good point, but I tend to just keep my switch Docked so I would rather just stick to the version I have on Steam.

I've always been a "First Party" Nintendo guy. I usually only play Nintendo games on my Nintendo consoles. Playing anything else on those feels icky.

Called it yesterday. Was obvious given what they were saying on the official page.

Reads like it'll be a res bump on source assets and optimization patch mostly. 6 players and dedicated servers are nice, but $10 upgrade max. $20 is doing a modest gouge. Interesting that most PC players have been trained to swallow paying for patches. Not even a gag reflex?

Now that no discount is planned, $40 = even worse! Should be a free patch for the Prepare To Die edition already on Steam - that's all it is!

Because in the console realm, taking something and giving it a resolution and frame bump is all you need to do to qualify as a remaster.

That's why it's a remaster and not a remake.
