Age of Conan patches taking too long to download? This short guide will show you how to download those pesky patches that seem to freeze.

1. Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Exceptions > Add Program > Age of Conan (Patcher)

2. Open you're antivirus software and completely disable it.
(PC-cillin users, right-click the icon in bottom right hand tray and un-select "Real-time Virus Protection".)

This should get all of your patches going. Hope to see you in-game :)

Note: For increased download speeds, exit out of all programs running in the background.

Nope something is wrong with the patcher. Will not work on my computer despite disabling the firewall / antivirus.

I keep getting the fatal error as well. I shut down my Firewall as well as my Virus protection. I just hope this has to do with the downtime for the servers.

The patcher is down right now. They are updating, so you can't patch or login.

I used to have a problem with the patcher as well. It would just start up and get to a certain MB and then stop. I just exited out all my anti-virus programs and turned off my firewall and it was smoothing sailing from there.
