Dead Space for an awesome story/experience, but it'll last you about 8-9 hours and after that there's not much else.

Borderlands for a game you can really 'sink time into' though.

^ I disagree, dead space allows you to replay the game with the upgrades uve gained just like in RE games.

I like many others go through the game looking to beat there old times with the more powerful weapons. For me its plain fun being more powerful than i was before.

Lost Odyssey
Tales of Vesperia
Dead Space
Eternal Sonata

^ No one should have to choose between these games. It's unethical.

>Dead Space

Holds up for several playthroughs, if you are a pickup hunter like me you might even clock 14 hours before completing it. I personally play it for the gameplay as opposed to the atmosphere/story.

>Borderlands

Definitely a good game, but it should be played in co-op, otherwise it gets boring in the long run. The beginning is too slow.

>Lost Odyssey

I consider it a mediocre game, but if you want a time sink there are few better games on the market, save completion file had 87 hours before I played through it.

>Alpha Protocol

Pretty unique but also really flawed game.
Poet Eliot had it all wrong....
