Generation has never meant hardware power, folks. Stop being stupid.
If Platinum was HAND drawn, she'd be on paper, fool. This is a video game. They just made her on screen, no "drawing" involved -Delano7 on BlazBlue

The 8th generation of home consoles has begun with the Wii U.

These reviews are hilarious. Multi plats look and play worse on Wii U than on the PS3, which itself was worse than 360. Welcome to current gen, Nintendo. Better luck next time.

That's a matter of perspective. Here's mine: It's not next gen until all the platform holder's offerings have been released.

Since the Wii has was last gen this gen, doesn't tat make the Wiiu this gen?

In the Wii's case, it's more like this.

Nintendo underestimated high-definition. If the Wii was originally 720p/1080p, would there even be a need for WiiU?

Pretty much this. It's pretty obvious that the WiiU is technically a next-gen console and that it's currently the strongest console on the market. This has already been confirmed by developers worldwide.

The question is how big a difference the next Xbox/Playstation will be over the WiiU. Analysts believe that development costs for the graphics everyone thinks these new consoles will have will be so huge that no developer will really go that far. We've essentially started hitting the graphics-to-cost roof. From here on, it's going to be less about how nice a game looks and more about how a game is played and the games available.

But don't expect the common GameFAQs person to actually think about stuff like this. Most people here are idiots when it comes to technology and business. They're easily swayed by blind and needless hatred.

The Wii U is essentially a modern Dreamcast. It will get killed off in a couple of years and Nintendo will either go bust or become third party, depending on their pride.

That's what people said about the Gamecube and the Wii and the 3DS. Learn how business works before talking about it.

Definitly not.
Well at Gamestop you can get a rubber ducky, a water gun, or a pirate sleeve Wii bundle.
