I got duped.
I bought it in Oct. 2008 because Highlander the Game was going to release very soon. It was between the PS3 or 360 (i didn't have a preference) but the best deal for the PS3 was still $499 at the time, while the 20G with 2 games 360 was $279. Other than getting screwed on the Highlander game, the quality and quantity of JRPG's (at the time ps3 had no exclusive JRPG's worth playing, I know this has changed in the last 2 years) made my decision worth it.

Although I like Halo, I didn't choose the 360. I choose the Ps3 because of bluray and FF Versus 13 back when it wasn't vapor ware.

It was a very close call between it and the PS3 at the time, came down to price at the time and a few exclusives. I've since bought a PS3 and Wii, but have never had any regrets about going with the 360 first.

I chose all three and always will, but lean towards 360 because I am a war vet that prefers to support American. No other reason. After saving so much money because of Plus, I actually appreciate ps3 more, but could never go in fully. And I really cannot over emphasize how much having page after page of Rock Band songs fill the new release area grates on me. My last nerve has long since been broken over that.

but the consoles are made in China & Mexico
Now don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright, but that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night...

I chose it because I already had the XBox, the FIFA Interactive World Cup was exclusive to the XBox at the time, and I liked the idea of achievements.

Also the PS3 was crazy expensive. But I expected to get one eventually anyway, because I was a multi-console gamer last gen. Though in retrospect I never thought it would take this long for me to still not have one.
