I don't get it.

Perhaps back really I was a kid I would have enjoyed them.

I'm not saying they're childish but they have no substance.

Neither gameplay nor story is reallyy impressive. Yet I hear quite a bit of praise for them.

Typically they are supposed to be pick up and play fun games. Although lately they've been annoying bug ridden piles of dung. Harry Potter 1 and 2 are great examples of bug ridden games.

Lego Batman 2 and Lord of the Rings are both great games, but i'm pretty sure they are probably riddled with bugs as well.

The Lego games are basically what was running through every kids mind when they were playing with real legos, they're the imagination and fun side of the movies/comics they're based on.

They're definitely fun and amusing. They were better before they started adding spoken dialogue though. The mimed interactions were funnier and more charming than just watching them talk to each other.

The games are stupid easy, obviously, but it's pretty fun to collect stuff and it's definitely fun to blow apart lego structures.

And I'm someone who's old enough to have kids who are too old for legos.
