Back in 2001 I thought Halo was a new design against what everyone expected, and created some fun experiences I hadn't gotten from gaming in a while.

Vehicles, two weapons only, shields, the enemy AI and combat with teammates; they were pretty fresh back then. I still remember hijacking a banshee in a blizzard while plasma erupted all over- that level and experience alone made my Xbox worth it at the time.

Also, way to take stuff out of context:

"I could make Halo. It's not that I couldn't design that game. It's just that I choose not to. One thing about my game design is that I never try to look for what people want and then try to make that game design. I always try to create new experiences that are fun to play."

Too bad he's failed miserably since the mid 1980s.

Actually, you know the reason why Paper Mario Sticker Star sucks? It is because Miyamoto literally tries to destroy any and all story within any video game in his site. They actually had to hide scripts and story segments from him while making Zelda games. That is how bad he is. I am sadly not joking.
People need to realize that games are art. Seriously, it's been proven over and over again. I think it's about time to people to man up and finally say this.

Miyamoto could also make a true sequel to SM64 and be relevant to me again. It's not that he can't, it's that he chooses not to.
The writing was on the wall with Bioware the minute you could completely void all of your decisions with one choice in KOTOR.

Of course Miyamoto could make Halo game, since he has made much better and more successful games than Halo.

The bit about hiding story elements was from Mario Galaxy's development not Zelda. It was also said in Jest. Miyamoto said Mario doesn't need a story. He had final say on Galaxy, he could have chosen to cut the storybook elements but didn't, what does that tell you?

Miyamoto is one of the people insisting on there being a continuity across all Zelda games, so he obviously cares about the narrative. The reason sticker star sucks is because of intelligent systems shortcomings. Miyamoto asked them to freshen it up a bit by differentiating it from the Mario & Luigi series. He simply asked them to make a paper mario game without any dialogue, that's not the same as no story. Lego Star Wars had no dialogue.

Not in today's world. He's old and has no clue what gamers want today like most of Nintendo so ridiculous how far away they are from reality.
