This was confirmed on a Facebook post.

I personally will play in FPS view mostly, but I will always welcome the addition. Also more games needs this. Give us the option to either play in FPS, or TPS.

Why would anyone choose third person over first person?

You can see more in third person, and if all you're aiming is the reticule, it's all the same to me.

I like third person, but first person iron sights on rifles.

If they make it a choice, such as Skyrim or Fallout, then I'm fine with it...
But if they alternate the views without a choice, then I have big problems with it.
I really hate the games that transition from 1st-person to 3rd-person without any control.
For example, I HATE it when FPS games go to a behind the back view every time you climb a ladder &/or take cover. It really annoys me.

That irks me, too.

So, basically the game is going to boil down to whoever is using third person wins.
PM (on GFaqs) me if you add me (I won't bite)

The best game ever made has this option so I don't see why every game wouldn't.

Hint: It's Morrowind.

funny, I like that better. I like being able to see my character. Like the way Deus Ex is nice.

I prefer TPS overall though
