If you're in the UK and go to GAME it'll probably sell for about £110 last time I checked, and in USA at gamestop for about $130

Not sure, but you should wait when Gamestop or another retailer is having a special on console trade in by giving you extra money. I know Gamestop had one a few months ago.

It wholly depends on when you do this. If in the US I recommend trading in at GS during a promotion. My store says they do it twice a year but they can also run it more based off need, so like if they're low on units and want more they can run the promo as much as needed.

Max trade in value requires a whole system:

Console (in working order, non-working consoles also accepted but for far lower value)
working controller (including that little battery holder thing)
power cable
at least one video cable (HDMI, Component/composite).

You do NOT need a HDD to be a full system, although your 250gb drive can be traded in at an additional credit
You do not need a rechargeable battery pack (but also accepted for more credit)
You do not need to trade in your headset, but they are also accepted.

I traded in my Elite without 120gb HDD r headset for $50 credit. 100% promotion at the time doubled it to $100 credit. They almost turned me away when I didn't bring the battery case. That little thing nearly cost me $40 of credit until I found it. My HDD netted me $17, and my headset netted me another $2, for $119 total.

Definitely wait for a promo. Regular vanilla trade-ins are too undervalued.

Don't trade it in to gamestop. Sell it to someone who wants to buy a used console. Sell it fast because the price is dropping soon. The neXbox is coming.

Just sell it on ebay or post an ad in your local craigslist/kijiji. I would imagine this late in the 360's life span, with it's bigger brother coming out, GS/EB games/pawn shops are going to give you next to nothing. Like someone above said if you have a local trade in promo then maybe GS will give you an OK amount though. Still selling it locally you could probably get 125-150 for it.
