I play Red Dead Redemption. Wanna play poker and liar's dice, two games already in the game, online with friends? Buy and download the DLC. (In this case I had the GOTY edition, but my friends didn't, so I couldn't play with them anyway)

I played Asura's Wrath. What do I have to do to play the last chapter/see the real ending? You guessed it, download and purchase the ending DLC.

Didn't like the Borderlands 1 ending? That's fine, just download and purchase each individual DLC that adds more to the game, including an alternate ending.

I just bought Final Fantasy XIII-2. I got to the casino area, and there's one room that has both slots and card tables. Want to play at the card tables? Download and buy the DLC.
There's also a coliseum area, and guess what you have to do to make use of that too? Download and buy the DLC for the coliseum opponents.
And hey guess what? If you want to see the real ending to the game, you have to download and buy that too!
Curious what happens to some of the other characters in the series? Yup, gotta download and buy each of their stories.

I know theres tons more games like this. These are my most annoying experiences. If we get lucky, one day, we may watch movies that ask for a credit card to watch the last 20 minutes.

TC is kinda right here. Say FF VII came out last week and it's DLC was put up on the marketplace today, (Spoilers may follow)
You would have to pay for:

Chocobo pack- Allows you to breed chocobos to use in Chocobo Racing! for $10
Knights of the Round- Ultimate summon, watch as enemies bow before you! $5
True Ending- A one on one battle with Sephiroth and additional ending FMV after you beat the final battle, Safer Sephiroth. $10
Master Materia pack: Unlock the option to get Master Materia, super materia that contains every skill in the game! $5 to unlock each, (Summon, Magic, Command)
Extra Character Pack- Vincent and Yuffie are hidden throughout the game, find them if you can! $5 for each character

That's just naming a few, this game was ripe with content that if it was released now bits at pieces would be charged as DLC. You don't see games like this often anymore. I may not be a fan of FF 13-2 but it was obvious they took this route. Knowing GameFAQs though someone will defend these bad business practices.

The Asura's Wrath DLC was an alternate ending, not the true ending, regardless of what Capcom's moronic marketing calls it.

yeah thats the right idea. let the companies take your money and yell at anyone who thinks you are being taken advantage of. i wish instead of paychecks my money just went straight to the brands

I never felt like I didn't have the full game without DLC.

Get better at not being weird.

You don't have to download/pay for any ending on FFXIII-2 at all.

complaining about dlc is old news. its not like its going away/getting better.

if you dont like the practice then don't support it. that will accomplish more than a rant on a message board.
