They are 5.50 used at my local game shop. Do they have online passes and would I be missing much without the online pass content?

Shadows has no online or pass, IIRC. It plays like Resi Evil 4 with out the puzzles. A little bit over the top in language if that kind of thing bothers you. I don't think Fear 3 had a pass either, but never played it myself.

F.E.A.R 3 has an online pass that gives you bonus multiplayer modes but it does not restrict anything if you go without it. Shadows of the Damned has no pass whatsoever. In my opinion, F.E.A.R 3 is good (much better than the horrendous F.E.A.R 2) and Shadows of the Damned is fantastic.

Shadows of the Damned is quite fun and a bargain at that price! I've heard good things about F.E.A.R too.

Shadows of the Damned is like if you mixed "that's what she said" with Resident Evil.
That being said it's a great game, with solid controls and some neat ideas, and depending on your tastes the humor could go either way. I preordered it personally and own a second copy for the PS3 as well because I wanted to support the developer and enjoyed the game.
I don't need games to be mature.I need them to entertain me.And sometimes what entertains me is a couple chicks with huge bouncing chests pummeling each other.

SotD is a pretty decent shooter with its own unique quirks. Its worth checking out.

FEAR 3 is...not good. assuming you know NOTHING of the franchise it comes off as a fairly generic shooter and a short one at that(around 4hours). its coop has some moments and its multiplayer has a few interesting tricks, but its sp is throw away. If you DO know of the series and you loved the original then be prepared for one of the biggest disappointments of your life.

American McGee's Alice is an Online Pass for Alice: Madness Returns, and Black Emporium is the Online Pass for DA2, both strictly single player games with no online component.
