War and Fall of Cybertron

Should add that Fall of Cybertron is the sequel story (and has the better MP), so War should be played first. But they're both excellent games.

are they better just because of MP? Because I'm more concerned with single player campaign

ROTF sucked. Period.
SnowFox7 ~I heard him use the term 'tarantula downpour', which would actually have been significantly worse than the rain we had that day.

War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron are the best Transformers games... ever.

they are both better as single-player games, though do have multiplayer modes, but those are probably dead now (though they were never really popular anyway). the mulitplayer was pretty simple death-match and capture-the-flag modes, with a horde-mode added in Fall of Cybertron.

the movie games sucked balls.

Dark of the Moon is a relatively short game as an in between exprience from the two Cybertron games. It is the only good one from the films frankly, as it address many of the annoyances found in the War for Cybertron game. I highly recommend that one since it is a High Moon Studios offshoot with pretty visuals and gameplay fixes which are virtually all addressed.

I do not know why people wish to praise the first effort put together by High Moon Studios. It was not an enjoyable experience, far from it. Ammo scarcity annoyances, crappy bosses with poor gameplay and unnecessarily lengthy levels are not fun. At least the shallow film games before it do not have these problems found in that game, they are simplified and do what they intend to do.

War for Cybertron is actually the worst one at the end of the day. It tried to be so much, that it simply fails at everything as a result.
